# Travel Recap Tutorial — Click-by-Click User Guide

Travel Recap is the travel recap app for trip recap and journey recap videos. Type an itinerary, preview a globe flyover, export an MP4.

## 1. Open Travel Recap

1. Go to https://travelrecap.app or open the iOS/Android app.
2. The editor opens immediately. Sign-in is not required to start.
3. Desktop web: AI + destinations on the left, globe on the right.
4. Mobile web: tap ☰ for Sign in, Sign up, pricing, and this tutorial.

## 2. Generate a route with Travel Recap AI

1. Click the Travel Recap AI text box.
2. Type cities in order and the transport between them.
3. Click **Generate route** (web) or **Generate** (native).
4. Wait until Routing… finishes and check the destination list.

Examples:
- Flight from LA to Manila, then train to Baguio, bus to Banaue
- Road trip: Miami → Orlando → Atlanta → Nashville, all by car

## 3. Add and edit destinations

1. On the Route tab, click **+ Add destination (n/max)**.
2. Search a city, save.
3. Pencil = Edit destination. Trash = Remove destination.
4. Stop 1 is the start point (no photos). Photos start at stop 2.

## 4. Choose transport

1. Click the transport icon on a stop after the start.
2. Pick Flight, Train, Bus, Car, Ferry, etc.
3. The globe path updates.

## 5. Preview the 3D map

1. Click **Start** (or **Continue** if paused).
2. **Pause** freezes. **Restart** returns to the start city.
3. Preview does not count toward the 2 exports / 24 hours limit.

## 6. Export settings

1. Click the **Options** tab (web) or Settings (native).
2. Social format: 16:9 YouTube, 1:1 feed, 9:16 TikTok/Reels/Stories.
3. Set units, speed, FPS (30 faster, 60 smoother), flags, Earth vs Eco map.
4. Optional video title and colors. Pro: custom brand logo.
5. Click **Save settings** when signed in.

## 7. Destination photos (Pro)

1. Upgrade to Pro.
2. On stop 2+, click + / Add photo (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF; ~15 MB, 24 MP).
3. Max 3 photos per destination.
4. Click **Arrange photos** to drag/scale.

## 8. Sign in (required to export)

1. Click Sign in or Sign up.
2. Google, or email and password. Forgot password sends a reset email.
3. Click **Save route data** to store the itinerary on your account.

## 9. Export the video

1. Sign in, then click **Export video** or **Export**.
2. Wait for prepare → render → complete.
3. Web: click Download. iOS/Android: save to Photos or share sheet.

## 10. iOS and Android

Same account as web. Pay with Apple/Google. Restore purchases if Pro is missing. Videos save to Photos.
