Dossier 08 · Welcome-home recap

The trip is booked. The last deliverable is the map they will keep.

A travel agency recap is not the advisor’s LinkedIn week and not a public Reel. It is the sold itinerary, returned as a globe, after the couple lands — with your mark on it, not a software watermark.

The deliverable

An agency recap is a closing document.

This page is the boutique desk: you already sold Nairobi to Zanzibar. The recap is how you end the file — the sold itinerary, returned as a globe, after the couple lands.

The job is the review, the referral, and the “we still have the video” email six months later. Pins say parks. They do not say the clients’ surname or the villa.

The sold route

Safari, then spice. One folio. One globe.

This is a pattern agencies actually write: bush first, Indian Ocean after. Light aircraft between camps. A scheduled hop to Zanzibar. The recap has to look as considered as the proposal they signed.

Day 1–2

Nairobi

Flight in. Use Nairobi, not “Kenya,” so the pin is the city they landed in.

Day 3–5

Masai Mara

Drive or light aircraft. Prefer the reserve name so the globe does not sit on Narok.

Day 6–8

Serengeti

Flight. The hop across the border is the story — mark it as flight.

Day 9–10

Ngorongoro

Drive. Full crater name. Not “the lodge.”

Day 11–14

Zanzibar

Flight to the island. Stone Town or Nungwi if you sold a specific beach.

Prompt that works: “Flight to Nairobi, drive to the Masai Mara, flight to the Serengeti, drive to Ngorongoro, flight to Zanzibar.” Copy it from the proposal. Do not invent a city they did not book.

The desk workflow

Paste what you sold. Brand what you send.

Travel Recap AI does not need a new itinerary — it needs the one in the folio. Mark bush hops as flight. Mark camp roads as drive. Use Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Zanzibar.

Client-facing files need Pro or a Day Pass ($1.99 / 24 hours): no Travel Recap watermark, and a custom agency logo that replaces it. Photos are Pro, and only if the contract allows guest images. Leave photos off if the recap is the geography they paid for.

Questions agencies ask

The welcome-home recap, answered.

How do travel agencies make a travel recap for clients?

Paste the sold itinerary, generate the globe, export watermark-free on Day Pass or Pro, email it when they get home.

Can we put our agency logo on the video?

Yes. Pro and Day Pass replace the Travel Recap watermark with your brand logo. Free exports are not a client file.

Before the trip or after?

This page is after. A teaser is fine. Do not spoil a surprise camp or island hop they have not seen yet.

Email, WhatsApp, or Instagram?

16:9 in email is the agency default. 9:16 only if the clients asked for WhatsApp.

Safari bush flights?

Mark light-aircraft and scheduled hops as flight. Use park names so pins land in the Mara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro.

Close the folio

Send the globe. Then ask for the review.
